Everything you need to know about the upcoming 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-e!

If the news had arrived on April 1^st, no one would have believed it. A Mustang SUV, and all-electric, come on! And yet, the car manufacturer has announced with great fanfare the arrival of this latest model which, like the famous muscle car from which it was inspired, will revolutionize its segment and shake up conventions: say hello to the all-new 2021 Mustang Mach-e, which will make its debut on the market by the end of 2020 for the first units. Don't follow the trend, be the trend! And be one of the first to get behind the wheel of one of the 2021 Mach-e vehicles!

Available in 5 versions—Select, Premium, First Edition, California Route 1 and GT Performance Edition—the Mach-e has different release dates depending on the version: late 2020 for the Premium and First Edition models, early 2021 for the Select and California Route 1 models, while the sporty GT Performance Edition version will show its face later in 2021.

In terms of design, frankly, the results are overwhelming! We love its sturdy, sporty stance, long hood, swooping roofline, large-sized wheels and classic 3-striped taillights, straight out of the Mustang. What's more, it's built on an all-new architecture.

In terms of powertrains, this electric Mustang features a standard 75.7 kWh battery or an extended one (98.8 kWh) and either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The main engine, like many sports cars, is located in the rear, while a 50 kW (67 horsepower) electric motor is located in the front, depending on the model; you could enjoy a combined output of 332 horsepower, an estimated driving range of 475 kilometres and a 0–60 mph in just over 5 seconds.

However, if you are patient and choose the GT version, you will enjoy 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque, as well as a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.5 seconds. This version has an estimated range of 375 kilometres.

When it comes to recharging, you will recover 35 kilometres per hour using a 240V terminal, 51 kilometres per hour with the Level 2 terminal provided by Ford and 76 kilometres in 10 minutes if you use a fast charge 150 kW station.

The interior of this new Ford SUV can comfortably accommodate up to 5 occupants; in addition to the available space (between 822 and 1688 litres, depending on whether the rear seats are folded down or not + 136 litres in the front trunk), the first thing you will notice is the huge vertical 15.5-inch touch screen, which will give you access to Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, to the next-generation SYNC system—this is the first Ford vehicle to be equipped with it—as well as the vehicle's other functionalities.
